As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team.
Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, preparing reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring cash flow, reconciling accounts, and supporting management with accurate financial information for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile cryptocurrency and fiat transaction records where applicable.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Manage payroll processing and statutory remittances.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor company expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' accounting experience (fintech experience is an advantage).
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Nigerian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a fintech or financial services company.
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency accounting and digital payment operations.
- Experience preparing management reports and financial statements.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
